The connection between poverty and analphabetism is unquestionable. Education is a force of counterbalance in every society and mean of development and prosperity. Today, 780 million people are deprived from this basic right and live damned in a vicious circle of poverty. Among them, there are 77 million children! Still, in many countries, the tuition fees, the reduced expenses, but also the lack a good educational structure keep many children out of school and undermine their right to a quality basic learning, their right to a fair future.
The “Light of Africa” realizes the “Child Support” program, and gives the opportunity to donators and sponsors to stand the treat of one or more children. In this first stage, the countries that participate in the program are Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Sierra Leone.
